Registration is now available online for the SOFE Career Development Seminar, to take place at the Town and Country Resort in sensational San Diego, CA, from Monday, July 13, to Thursday ,July 16, 2015.  The optional IT  extended session will take place immediatley after CDS, on Thursday afternoon and  Friday morning.

Among the many area attractions in San Diego are the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, Balboa Park, the Gaslamp Quarter, and the world-famous USS Midway aircraft carrier, site of the 2015 CDS Monday Night Social, and the source of his year's CDS theme: "Examinations Taking Flight"

Important Update on 2015 CRE Credits

Beginning  2015, two (2) hours of  the required annual CRE hours for the AFE CFE and AES designations must be earned  in ethics. Please see the details at the "Certification" tab  above  under  it "i.", under "Continuing Education Typically Accepted By SOFE".

Annual Awards Nominations Invited

The Society sponsors annual awards presented during the Career Development Seminar.Nominations of qualified candidates are invited for the Founders’ Award, presented to the SOFE member who has contributed most substantially to SOFE in the past year; and the Don Fritz Memorial Award, presented to the year’s most outstanding SOFE State Chair. Log into the member -only area and submit your nominations at the “Awards” links. The deadline is June 5, 2015

SOFE Testing Update

New CFE2 Test on Enterprise Risk Management Effective July 1, 2015: SOFE announces the development of a new CFE 2 test on Enterprise Risk Management to align the designation with the NAIC Risk Focused Examination Process. The new test will be offered through SOFE’s online testing program beginning July 1. Important details and deadlines for the transition to the new CFE2 test can be found at the Testing tab.

New AES Proficiency Test: The SOFE AES Committee has developed an AES Proficiency Test to replace the test previously hosted by NAIC. The test closely covers the processes outlined in the Financial Examiners’ Handbook relating to risk focused IT review and is offered through SOFE’s online testing system.
